Cruelty free beauty- Frownies

My mum has used frownies forever, she'll probably object to me telling you this so that sentence may well disappear, but for now there it is. They seem to be one of those funny product that so many people use but no one has ever heard of.

They're not much to look at, when you get them out of the box, they're basically a brown, hard plaster, so far not very glamorous, but it's when you put them on, or rather take them off, that the magic happens. They're super simple to use, you just tear the back off them, wet them, place them over the area you want to smooth out, there's different frownies for different areas, then go to sleep. When you wake up, the area will have smoothed out. The magic doesn't stop there though, worn over time, they retrain the muscles and prevent you from making the motions that cause and deepen wrinkles. This means as time goes on, you naturally stop making these movements and those lines stop forming as the muscles are reeducated into not moving in the same way. Mum has always worn hers overnight, but of course if you're in the house alone all day you could just pop them on then, having them on as long as possible at a time seems to be key though.

Now I'm not desperately old, yet, but there are definitely lines forming by the sides of my eyes so I gave them a little go and can really see a difference. I am just about starting to get conscious about aging, and was recently quite surprised to hear a few of my friends are already having botox, despite being in their mid 30s, I still feel far too young to have this done, but it's apparently not uncommon.

Best of all, as with all beauty bits I talk about here, they're cruelty free! This quite suprised me, I expected that a product that contained a sort of adhesive, probably wouldn't be cruelty free so it was a lovely surprise when I saw these on PETA's approved cruelty free list.

I'll be back soon with more cruelty free beauty picks, I've found some really good ones and I'm really looking forward to sharing them with you!
